About the product
What does Cogvert Scout actually do?
Scout queries ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity with your buyers' real questions on a regular schedule, analyses every answer for whether your brand was mentioned, recommended, where you ranked and how the AI felt about you, and rolls it all up into a single Visibility Score plus a guided playbook for moving the score up.
How is Scout different from PEEC AI / Profound / Otterly?
The core measurement is similar — anyone in this space tracks mention rate, sentiment, position. Scout's differentiator is the action layer: the Optimize Hub turns every visibility gap into a specific recommendation with a draft, a target URL, and a verify button. Most competitors stop at the dashboard.
Which AI models does Scout query?
ChatGPT (gpt-4o), Gemini (gemini-2.5-flash), and Perplexity (sonar).
Internally we also use gpt-4o-mini for response analysis and claude-haiku-4-5 for the

Does Scout support languages other than English?
Yes. The brand profile includes a language field. Currently supported: English, Hindi, Spanish, French, and German. The AI engines respond in the language you set, and the analysis pass is multilingual.
About scanning & data
How long does a scan take?
~30 seconds for 5 prompts (free plan), ~2 minutes for 75 (Starter), ~4–5 minutes for 350 (Premium).
How often should I scan?
Weekly is the sweet spot for most teams. Daily during launch weeks or active monitoring. Monthly is enough for established brands in maintenance mode. Growth and Premium plans get an automatic daily cron.
My scan got stuck — what do I do?
Wait 15 minutes. Scout auto-expires any scan that runs longer than 15 minutes, freeing the queue. If it keeps happening, email support.
Can I export my scan data?
Yes — Reports can be exported as PDF, and a CSV export of raw scan data is on the roadmap. If you need it now, email support and we'll send a one-off CSV.
About scoring
Why is my Visibility Score "only" 45?
45 is roughly average for a brand that's been doing decent SEO but hasn't optimised for AI search yet. It's a starting point, not a verdict. Open the Optimize Hub and pick the highest-impact recommendation.
Why did my score drop after I added new prompts?
New prompts dilute the average. If you add 20 prompts you've never been mentioned for, the mention rate falls even though nothing changed in the AI engines. This is expected; it'll recover as Scout gathers more data and as you ship Optimize Hub fixes.
Can the score be gamed?
The honest answer: only by gaming the AI models themselves, which is very hard. Mentions, sentiment and recommendations come from real model output — you can't fake them inside Scout.
About billing
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes — 15 days, no credit card required. You get 5 prompts and access to the full dashboard.
What if I exceed my prompt limit?
You can't — Scout enforces the cap. To add more prompts, upgrade your plan. Existing prompts always continue to scan; you just can't add new ones above the cap.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancellations stop future billing immediately. You keep access until the end of your current billing cycle, then your account goes read-only for 30 days before deletion.
Do you offer agency/white-label pricing?

About data & privacy
Where is my data stored?
On a MariaDB database hosted on Namecheap shared infrastructure, with daily backups retained for 30 days. See Data privacy & security for the full breakdown.
Do you train AI models on my prompts?
No. We send your prompts to OpenAI, Google and Perplexity to run scans, but we don't use them to train any model — neither ours nor theirs (we use API endpoints with training opt-out enabled wherever the provider offers it).
Can I delete my data?
Yes, completely. Email [email protected] from the account address and we'll delete everything within 7 days.
