Content suggestions
The Content spoke is the most-used channel in the Optimize Hub. It looks at where you're invisible or losing head-to-heads, then proposes specific pages or sections you should publish — with the angle, the talking points, and the prompt(s) the new content will help win.
Where it lives
Sidebar → Optimize → Content Suggestions. The page has a blue theme to match the Content pillar in the hub.
The two action types
| Type | What it suggests | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Content actions | Whole new pages or blog posts to publish. | Closing big visibility gaps in a topic where you're absent. |
| Brand actions | Updates or sections to add to existing pages. | Sharpening positioning where you're mentioned but not recommended. |
Anatomy of a content suggestion
Every card on this page contains:
- Task — what to do, in one line.
- Why — the data that triggered the recommendation (e.g. "You're absent on 7/10 'best CRM for X' prompts").
- Suggested page URL — where the new content should live on your site.
- Talking points — bullet list of angles to cover.
- Affected prompts — the exact Scout prompts this content will help you win.
- Impact estimate — projected Visibility Score points this action could earn.
Workflow we recommend
-
Sort by impact
The default sort is by impact descending. Start at the top.
-
Pick a sprint-sized batch
3–5 actions per sprint is realistic. More than that and you'll burn out before the next scan validates anything.
-
Mark "In progress"
Click the status pill on each card you're actively working on so the rest of your team can see.
-
Ship the content
Write, publish, and crucially — make sure the page is indexable and linked from somewhere AI crawlers will find it.
-
Mark "Done" and re-scan
Once published, mark Done. After your next scan (1–2 weeks later), the card shows whether the affected prompts actually moved.
"X vs Y" pages are the highest-leverage content for AI visibility. They directly answer the comparison prompts that buyers actually type, and they tend to get cited heavily by Perplexity. If you only ship one type of content, ship comparison pages.
